UFC 300: The Stage Is Set to Award $300K to Every Superstar Performing
UFC CEO Dana White is in the mood for a lavish payout, setting the bonuses for UFC Superstars at $300K for fighting at UFC 300.
During Thursday's UFC 300 press conference, BMF Champion Justin Gaethje and his opponent Max Holloway requested Dana White to increase the $50,000 bonus to $300,000, and the boss accepted without hesitation.
The historic event is projected to reach the 1-million PPV plateau with a whopping live gate of almost $16.5 million at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 13.
The PPV will only be available on ESPN+ and Disney Bundle, with the cost for subscribers set at $79.99. Calculating the total, this places UFC 300 third in UFC history and as the largest live gate for any card not featuring Conor McGregor. (The cost for early prelims, which is $9.99, is not included.)
No wonder Dana White felt free to raise the bonuses from $50,000 to $300,000 for the event, as the hype surrounding it is growing exponentially on social media.
Although Conor McGregor is not on the match card for UFC 300, he expressed his enthusiasm on X:
“Huge shout out to @danawhite and @ufc for upping the bonuses to $300K! Life-changing money for many on the card. Looking after your fighters is paramount! Godspeed Dana and the team at @ufc, onwards and upwards! What a time to be alive! Have a great showing, ladies and gents.”
Without a doubt, the night will be full of spectacles. Gaethje will be defending his BMF title against Max Holloway in one of the three star-studded cards on Saturday night. Yan Xionan will be battling to snatch Zhang Weili's Strawweight championship in the co-main event. And the night will be headlined by Alex Pereira defending his Light Heavyweight Championship against former champ Jamahal Hill.
In addition to these, there are a few other exciting fights including superstars like Charles Oliveira and Jiri Prochazka, who are set to deliver outstanding performances in hopes of securing the massive bonuses awarded to all superstars who put on a great show.
The stage is set for April 13, 2024.
